It's Tribe Time Now!
While Lebron had the nerve to show up to Jacobs Field in a Yankees cap,
Indians fans rose up to the occasion.
And so did Indians players. Tonight was a night to remember in Indians history. Today the “underdog” came out and blew out the evil known as the Yankees. Everyone one in the lineup contributed to the Yankee killing. When one looks at the box score, there are many heroes, but it doesn’t tell the story of every one in the lineup getting at least one hit. And off of the Yankees ace, Wang at that. If the Yankees get killed when they have their ace on the mound, it doesn’t look good for the Yankees as this series continues. Knock on wood, hopefully, tomorrow, Fab Fausto Carmona and the Indians offense can continue the Yankees killing.
While Sabathia did not have the game we are used to seeing from him giving up 6 walks (one intentional), he did get out of many jams. The only thing that killed him was the long ball, and one of those long balls was questionable (the shot by Damon).
Of the 6 walks he gave up, none of them came around the score. That was key to the Indians victory. Once CC got out of the jam in the top of the 5th and got the momentum, the Tribe took control.
Despite all his trouble, CC picked up his first postseason win.
And what a night for Kenny Lofton.
He truly showed why he is a veteran leader of this ballclub. Lofton went 3 for 4 with 4 RBIs and a stolen base. But what’s ironic, though, is that all those RBIs came with 2 outs. Probably the key hit though, came after Victor Martinez’s HR in the 5th. His hit there sealed the Indians victory. Maybe the curse of Kenny Lofton is, knock on wood, over.
There were many highlights of this game, and I’ll try to highlight them here.
Pregame
-Indians legend, drummer John Adams throws out the first pitch.
First Inning
-Garko learns the value of the small ball and delivers an RBI single.
-Kenny Lofton delivers a 2 RBI single.
Second Inning
-Victor makes stealers pay as he catches Cano stealing second to end the inning.
Third Inning
My man, and favorite Indian, Asdrubal Cabrera delivers a solo HR!
Fifth Inning
-CC works out of a bases loaded jam with 1 out and only gives up 1 run, striking out Posada in the process.
-Victor shows the Yankees who’s boss with a two run HR.
-Ja-hon-ey realizes the long ball isn’t the only way when he bloops a beautiful double.
-Lofton comes through with his third RBI of the night, driving in Ja-hon-ey.
-The Indians shut the door on Wang. Can you believe the Yankees call him an ace?
-Kenny steals second as the rookie reliever, Ohlendorf, doesn’t realize that the old man still has speed. (Lofton only stole 2 bases as a Cleveland Indian during the regular season since coming from the Rangers in July).
-Lebron James, turns his Yankees cap backwards in shame. Oh, didn’t realize your Yankees were so bad, did you?
-Blake caps off a 5 run 5th with a 2 RBI double!
Sixth Inning
-Perez proves why the Raphies are unstoppable by pitching a flawless 6th.
-Pronk continues the Yankees killing with a solo HR to right center.
-Victor continues his great showing tonight with a double.
-Lofton continues his awesome night with an RBI double. 4 on the night. Follow the inning, immediately, TBS aires the infamous Kenny Lofton DHL commercial.
Seventh Inning
-Franklin Gutierrez robs Jeter of sure extra bases with an awesome grab.
-Perez continues the shut down and proves why he is one of the best relievers in the league.
Eighth Inning
-Jensen Lewis pitches a brilliant eight.
-Garko has something to blog about, hitting a blast of a solo HR.
Ninth Inning
-Bentancourt finishes it off with a great 9th.
That’s the story of a masterpiece of many heroes. It’s Tribe Time Now.
Let’s continue this great push to the pennant!

Ask any Dodgers fan if they think letting Lofton go to make room for the signing of "Juan-for-four" Pierre.
Good job on dispatching the Yankees tonight. Cleveland has shown all year that they deserve to be at this dance, and now they're proving it to the entire nation.

I wish someone had thrown things at Lebron. What an idiot. I no longer like him.
But **** the Tribe kicked some major *** last night and I loved every second of it!
Being stuck here in Yankee territory, i need an excuse to blast "Cleveland Rocks" (even though I can't find a ringtone for it :-( 0

Assuming its Clevelands time, and they manage to actually win a World Series (Which they wont do since Boston will destroy them), that will give them 1 world series ring in....whats that?...oh yeah.....The past 60 or so years.....WOW... what a franchise.....what a legacy. Im trying to think how many that NY team has won in the past 60 years..... hmmmm...Id say about 25% of all World Series played.
